Senate Report: DOGE’s “Efficiency” Wasted Billions, Gutted Government

A U.S. Senate investigations subcommittee report revealed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), implemented by Elon Musk, wasted over $21 billion in its first six months. The report highlighted significant waste from mass layoffs of federal employees, resulting in $14.8 billion spent on early retirement packages and $6.1 billion on severance. Furthermore, DOGE’s funding freezes led to lost interest payments, spoiled goods, and cuts to programs that generated more revenue than they cost to operate. This included the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and public health research cuts. Long-term projections suggest that the DOGE initiatives could cost taxpayers significantly more in the future.

DOGE Wasted Tens of Billions While Chainsawing the Government in the Name of ‘Efficiency’: Senate Report is not really surprising, is it?

When you’re operating with a wrecking ball, your primary objective isn’t to build; it’s to destroy. Efficiency, in this context, wasn’t about streamlining government operations; it was about dismantling them. It was about gutting the regulatory bodies that dared to stand in the way of certain individuals and their ambitions. This report, unfortunately, confirms what many of us suspected, and some were screaming about: the alleged “efficiency” gains were a facade, a carefully constructed smokescreen to hide something far more sinister. The real goal? To cripple any oversight of specific companies, and collect as much valuable data as possible.

The staggering amount of money wasted is just a symptom of the larger problem. It’s the inevitable consequence of a deliberate effort to sabotage the very foundations of government. The “DOGE” project, implemented with a chainsaw, wasn’t about saving money; it was about transferring wealth and power. It was about clearing obstacles and greasing the wheels for those who stood to gain the most. The goal was not only to get rid of regulations, but to also steal people’s data.

It was a calculated demolition project disguised as a cost-cutting measure. This was about the elimination of any group that was going to stop the theft of information. It wasn’t about saving money; it was about a targeted dismantling of essential government functions. There are many who can see that this was about getting rid of all those that are going to throttle some people’s plans to transfer wealth out of the way. It has now been revealed the ultimate prize was the mass collection of our data.

It’s crucial to understand: this wasn’t a mistake; it was a deliberate act of sabotage. The supposed benefits of “efficiency” were nothing more than a cover for a far more destructive agenda. The goal was to cripple the government’s ability to regulate, investigate, and protect the public interest. In the end, we got massive waste, and potentially a huge loss of individual privacy.

And, if that wasn’t enough, all of this occurred while simultaneously opening up access to vast amounts of data and essentially crippling government’s enforcement of rules. It was a campaign of destruction masquerading as progress, and the American people are now paying the price.

The irony is thick. The people who sold this as a way to save money actually spent tens of billions. The question is, what do we do? How do we even begin to repair the damage? The solution starts with removing those who were behind it, and hopefully, begin to enact and enforce laws that can right the wrongs of the past. This also includes a real investigation into the data collection. It also requires a more informed and engaged citizenry.

Let’s face it. This was a massive success for the group, and a complete failure for those of us who still believe in the United States of America.
