It’s refreshing to see a judge, even one appointed by a former president, acknowledging the importance of a free press. It’s a fundamental right, and it’s pretty much essential to a functioning democracy. It’s also quite interesting that this decision comes from a judge appointed by the very individual who had a history of, let’s say, strained relationships with the media.
