North Korean crosses the heavily fortified border to South Korea, and it immediately sparks a flurry of thoughts, doesn’t it? The news itself is striking, a North Korean individual has managed to navigate one of the most heavily guarded borders on Earth, a feat in itself. The fact that he’s now in South Korean custody is only the beginning of the story.

The thought is that this situation must be terrifying, and yet somehow, this individual chose to cross. It’s an act of defiance and hope all in one.
