Former U.S. Rep. George Santos is scheduled to begin a seven-year prison sentence on Friday for federal wire fraud and aggravated identity theft charges related to his congressional campaign. Santos, who pleaded guilty last summer, deceived donors and stole identities to fund his election bid. Despite declining comment, Santos stated in an interview that he expected to serve his sentence in a minimum-security prison and hosted a farewell party on social media.
