The Epstein Files Anticlimax Is Exposing Trump for Who He Really Is
The endless parade of revelations surrounding the Epstein files, or lack thereof, is truly a study in the obvious. Every day, it feels like the truth about Donald Trump is laid bare for all to see, and the ongoing anticlimax, the whispers of what might be in those documents, are a harsh spotlight on those who choose to ignore it. We’ve known for a long time, haven’t we? The man’s true character, the big, glaring flaws, have been on display for years. Yet, the mere suggestion of the Epstein files possibly containing his name, seems to be the final straw for some? Truly? The MAGA faithful are *just now* beginning to question him? The man has been exposed for decades!
The fact of the matter is, Trump is a walking, talking embodiment of the very things he railed against. The “corrupt elites,” the deep state – he *is* it. He’s a known felon, an admitted sex offender, a compulsive liar, a divider, a democracy-hating, law-breaking, pussy-grabbing, gibberish-spouting, painfully ignorant, top-secret document-stealing, Russia-loving wannabe dictator, and a man repeatedly accused of rape. And somehow, for a significant portion of the country, this isn’t a dealbreaker. They knew exactly who and what he was, and they are, and remain, A-OK with it.
And the Epstein connection? Let’s not forget the circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death. Was it suicide, or something more sinister? The fact that Trump was in charge of his confinement, yet was decades-long friends with Epstein, should be alarming. But again, it’s just another piece of the puzzle. The puzzle of who Trump truly is, and has always been. As someone pointed out, they knew in 1989.
The President promised to “take on the corrupt elites.” But he *is* one. He IS the elite. The fact is, everything he has done, from his countless instances of infidelity to his blatant election fraud, should have been enough to expose who he is. But this, this potential link to the Epstein files, is what finally makes people see the light? It’s a bizarre reality, and shows the blindness of his followers.
Many of us already knew about this man. This is a man who has repeatedly shown us who he is. He has been exposed over and over and over again. This is a man who has bragged about taking on, and in some cases participating in, the crimes he has now been associated with. From his long history of shady business practices to his repeated accusations of sexual assault, the evidence has been clear.
He’s a 34-times convicted felon, legally barred from certain activities. He’s bankrupted businesses and been accused of bribing officials. He’s shown us how truly despicable he is. We have known the whole time.
