As a Haitian-American, I am deeply troubled by the ignorant and hateful comments made by a man holding a position of power and influence in our government.
The fact that Higgins, a supposed representative of the people, can use his platform to perpetuate harmful stereotypes and incite hatred towards an entire group of individuals is not only disappointing but also dangerous. His words not only reflect a lack of education and understanding but also a deep-seated prejudice that has no place in a modern and diverse society.
