If the Dems were the types to play dirty, they could start running pro-RFK Jr ads in battleground states to confuse his followers and encourage them to vote for him anyway… and maybe peel away even more clueless Trump voters.
You mean he’s being forced to carry on to term with a situation that he wants to abort? Karma’s a bitch… I was actually wondering about this because all RFK’s idiot fans are still out there saying the guy has a chance. That he didn’t fully drop out, that he’s still on the ballot in some states. But also that he isn’t being taken off, even that he requested it, means he still has a “chance”? He’ll just have to grin and BEAR it.
It’s probably a 60/40 split with RFK Jr siphoning off the majority of votes. The only real thing to do to save democracy though is verify your voter registration and vote democrat down the ballot. If women, for example, want their healthcare rights back, they need to not allow MAGA at state and local levels either.
“Our polling consistently showed that by staying on the ballot in the battleground states, I would likely hand the election over to the Democrats, with whom I disagree on the most existential issues,” RFK Jr used to be called an “environmental champion.” Apparently, he doesn’t consider saving the environment to be one of the most existential issues anymore. The fact that he feels it’s important that he is removed to help Trump tells you a lot about who was going to vote for him.
The funny part is he originally ran to help Trump win, but he only appealed to Trump voters, which is why he is dropping out now. So it’s 3 states – MI, WI, and CO. States that unfortunately have removed him include AZ, NV, PA, FL, OH, and TX. That’s definitely a wrench in his project but hardly as clickable or schadenfreudy as their headline.
These states are following their own state laws on elections. Could this be Trump setting himself up with an excuse for not winning? Guess he couldn’t worm his way out of the election. According to my wife: with Bob Kennedy, the quality did NOT go in before the name went on. He wanted to “abort” his campaign but states are now “forcing” him to carry it to term even though he doesn’t want to. Hmmm. Sounds very familiar. Where have I heard this issue before?
Maybe his quitting speech was a conspiracy of the Deep State, and we are still supposed to vote for him!! I’m sure this is another problem Trump will “fix” if elected. Dumb as a box of rocks. Are people so dumb that they don’t realize that they don’t need their name on the ballot to be voted for? You could literally write whatever name you want.
If this move costs Trump these states, I’m gonna have a big old laugh. Maybe this is what Trump is all upset about today. Good, fuck both of those morons. Just remember, a vote for RFK is a vote for Trump. He could be the first candidate to run an anti-campaign. Go to these states, have rallies, tell the people to not vote for you. Tell them what a horrible insane president you would be. He could make history.
His messaging was actually a bit confusing about this, he said he was endorsing Trump and suspending his campaign, but not ending his campaign and I believe he specifically said he was going to remain on ballots to show people didn’t want either party? Maybe that has changed in his negotiations for whatever nightmare role he has managed to snag, hopefully it’s just the newly created Secretary of Falconry. YESSSSSS! Lmao wants to be on the ballot so bad. Hope this offsets uncommitted. I love it. He’s splitting the vote.
