It seems that in the twisted world of MAGA politics, up is down and down is up. Vance’s attempt to attribute credit to Trump for the release of the hostages, despite clear evidence to the contrary, is a prime example of the delusional narrative that seems to permeate the GOP.
It is truly bizarre how Republicans, like Vance, always seem to try and take credit for everything, even when they have had little to no involvement in the actual process. The hostage exchange was a result of Biden’s administration working diligently to secure the release of these individuals, yet Vance and his ilk are quick to jump on the bandwagon and claim it as a victory for Trump. It is a clear case of trying to assign stolen valor where it is not due.
