The fact that he owes more than $100 million from lawsuits, as revealed by his financial disclosures, is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his mountain of debt and legal troubles.
It is absolutely mind-boggling to me that there are still people out there who staunchly support Trump, blindly refusing to see the truth that lies right in front of them. He is not running for president out of a sense of duty or a desire to serve the American people; he is running to save his own skin, to evade the clutches of justice, and to continue his unabashed grifting and backroom deals.
The sheer audacity of the man is astounding. From refusing to pay his debts, such as the $454 million from one lawsuit, to using campaign donations to cover his legal expenses, Trump’s actions paint a stark picture of a man who views the law as nothing more than a hindrance to his shady dealings. The fact that he still hasn’t paid E. Jean Carroll a dime for the harm he caused her speaks volumes about his character, or rather, lack thereof.
I find it utterly appalling that someone with such staggering financial liabilities and a blatant disregard for the rule of law is not only allowed to run for public office but is actually vying for the highest position in the land. The idea of a man so deeply in debt and morally bankrupt being given the power to make decisions that affect the lives of millions is nothing short of a nightmare.
The fact that Trump’s presidency campaign seems to be nothing more than a scheme to funnel money into his own pockets is a chilling revelation. The man is clearly using his political platform as a means to escape the consequences of his actions, to rake in more cash, and to further entrench himself in a position of power where he can continue his nefarious dealings with impunity.
