As a Black individual, hearing other Black people praise Trump for a measly $1200 check or claiming he did more for us than Obama is disheartening. It shows a lack of understanding of the bigger picture and the harm that Trump’s administration has caused to marginalized communities. The fact that older Black individuals still support him despite his blatant racism is both perplexing and concerning.
The comparison of Trump to Hitler by JD Vance speaks volumes about the kind of leader Trump was and the impact he had on the nation. The idea of Trump gaining support from Black voters seems like a far-fetched narrative perpetuated by those who refuse to see the truth.
