The fact that a Justice of the Supreme Court would openly associate themselves with such controversial and potentially traitorous symbols is deeply concerning to say the least. It makes me question the integrity of our highest level of judiciary and the values they claim to uphold.
The “Appeal to Heaven” flag, with its ties to Christian nationalism and the Trump “Stop the Steal” movement, sends a clear message of support for dangerous and divisive ideologies. It is disheartening to see a member of the judiciary align themselves with such extreme and polarizing groups, especially in light of the events of January 6th, which were fueled by misinformation and false claims of election fraud.
