As a parent, reading about the tragic story of a 10-year-old boy being swept into a storm drain is absolutely heartbreaking. Imagining the fear and helplessness that he must have felt in his final moments is gut-wrenching. It’s hard to comprehend how such a terrible accident could happen, especially when thinking about the safety measures that could have been in place to prevent it. The idea of a storm drain being able to sweep a child into it is truly terrifying.
