I can’t shake off the disbelief that 74 million people in this country voted for Trump in the last election. After the mishandling of the Covid-19 crisis, I assumed his chances would be slim, but it seems his base’s loyalty knows no bounds. The rise in living expenses since Biden took office seems to be at the heart of this. As George Carlin aptly put it, there seems to be an alarming level of ignorance among a significant portion of the American population.
The decline in education funding over the past 50 years has played a significant role in shaping the mindset of many voters.
