The fact that individuals who dedicate their lives to saving others were subjected to such humiliation and brutality is beyond comprehension. Strip-searched, beaten, and verbally abused, these medics were treated like criminals instead of the heroes they truly are. It is a clear violation of basic human rights and decency.
The explanations given by the Israeli Defense Forces are nothing short of appalling. Justifying the actions by claiming it is necessary during the arrest process is simply unacceptable. How can anyone justify the use of dogs to attack vulnerable individuals, or the beating of medics for simply flinching? It is a clear abuse of power and a violation of the dignity of these healthcare professionals.
The fact that the International Committee of the Red Cross has been denied access to detainees further raises concerns about the conditions these individuals are subjected to.
