By John Q. Hosedrinker Trump Calls on ‘All Willing States’ to Send National Guard Soldiers to Texas
As I sit here, reading the latest news about former President Donald Trump, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of frustration and concern. Trump’s recent call for “all willing states” to deploy their National Guard soldiers to Texas is, quite frankly, alarming. It makes me question the state of our democracy and the intentions of those in power.
How is it possible for a private citizen, someone who holds no official authority, to call for military action inside the United States? This goes against the very principles on which our nation was founded. The idea that Trump, an unelected civilian, can incite rebellion and provoke a civil war is beyond comprehension.
It is clear to me that Trump’s motivation for this call to action is purely political. He is using the fear and anger surrounding the issue of immigration to benefit himself at the expense of the American people. By stoking these emotions, he hopes to distract from his own legal troubles and create further divisions among us.
What troubles me even more is the potential danger that this rhetoric poses to our soldiers and civilians. Trump is literally putting lives at risk with his incitement of rebellion. He is willing to watch America burn if it means he can avoid being held accountable for his actions.
The fact that Trump is willing to disregard the rule of law and the authority of the federal government is deeply troubling. It raises questions about his respect for our democratic institutions and his willingness to manipulate them for his own gain. This is not how a leader should behave.
I am appalled by the response, or lack thereof, from Trump’s supporters. Where are the so-called “cosplaytriot Meal Team 6 Gravy Seal militia assholes” that claim to be defenders of states’ rights? Why aren’t they mobilizing to “defend” Texas from this so-called invasion? It seems that their commitment to states’ rights only extends to perverse extremes, not to the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
The time has come for us to take a stand against this dangerous rhetoric. Trump’s call for a civil war is nothing short of treason, and he should be held accountable for his actions. We cannot allow a former U.S. president to incite violence and rebellion without consequences.
It is my hope that the Supreme Court and the legal system will swiftly and decisively disqualify Trump from any position of power. We must ensure that individuals like him, who have no regard for the well-being of the American people, are not able to manipulate and exploit our democracy for personal gain.
In the end, it all boils down to a simple truth: a vote for Trump is a vote for chaos, division, and a disregard for the principles that make our country strong. As a woman who holds the same active political office as Trump, I implore all willing states to reject his call to action and instead focus on promoting unity, compassion, and the rule of law.
Let us stand together against those who would seek to tear us apart. Let us reaffirm our commitment to democracy, justice, and the principles that truly make America great. The time to act is now. Our future depends on it.
