We must remember that Secretary Mayorkas is not just any public servant. He is a Cuban immigrant who came to the United States with his family as political refugees, seeking a better life and freedom from oppression. Throughout his more than two decades of service to this country, he has exemplified integrity and a deep commitment to the values that make our nation great.
