By Matt Underwood As someone who enjoys observing the absurdity and cognitive dissonance displayed by right-wingers, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the recent claim that the Super Bowl is rigged so that Taylor Swift can endorse Joe Biden. I mean, really? Are these people going full-fledged dumbass or what?
First of all, let’s address the idea that Republicans are supposed to be boycotting the NFL. Remember when they were all up in arms over players kneeling during the national anthem? I guess that boycott conveniently went out the window when it comes to conspiracy theories about Taylor Swift and Biden endorsements.
But the question remains, why on earth would Taylor Swift need the Super Bowl in order to endorse Biden? Last time I checked, endorsing a political candidate wasn’t against the law. She has every right to support whoever she chooses, regardless of whether she’s performing during the halftime show or not. Maybe, just maybe, Taylor Swift aligns herself with Biden because she doesn’t support rape, fraud, and treason. Seems like a pretty reasonable stance to me.
It’s truly baffling how the right-wing crowd is so easily triggered by Taylor Swift. Her ability to make middle-aged conservative men cry and go absolutely mental is truly impressive. All she does is live her life, occasionally encouraging her fans to vote, and yet they foam at the mouth with fury. It’s almost as if they’re scared that their outdated ideologies are being challenged by a strong, independent woman.
Now, let’s address the notion that everything is rigged because, well, it is. The right-wingers may be onto something here, but not in the way they think. If anyone is trying to rig everything, it’s them. Thankfully, their incompetence usually gets in the way, leading to a trail of failed attempts. Every accusation they make seems to be a confession of their own actions.
And let’s not forget that the Super Bowl is a major event for the NFL, which means they’re primarily concerned with making money. If Taylor Swift draws a lot of eyeballs to the game, you better believe they would want her involved. It has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with attracting viewers and potential consumers. But I guess it’s easier for right-wingers to believe in grand conspiracy theories than to accept simple business decisions.
Now, if the right-wingers do decide to boycott the Super Bowl, does that mean there’ll be less beer-fueled domestic violence on that day? One can only hope. And let’s not forget that most team owners are Republicans, so why would they rig the game to support Biden? It’s a complete contradiction in their own logic.
As I continue to dive deeper into the absurdity of these conspiracy theories, I realize that they’re just the product of small-minded individuals living in an alternative reality. They’re so terrified of Taylor Swift endorsing Biden because they know it would be a massive boost to the youth vote. And if there’s one thing the GOP fears, it’s young people exercising their democratic rights.
All in all, I’ve come to expect nothing less from right-wingers than their ability to say unbelievably stupid shit. They revel in their own stupidity and seem to have no problem displaying it for the world to see. But while their ignorant rants and conspiracy theories may provide some entertainment, it’s important to remember that sane individuals will be voting for Biden instead of a rapist, racist, pedophile, treasonous individual named Trump.
So here’s to Taylor Swift, the criminal mastermind feared by MAGA supporters everywhere. Keep living your life, endorsing the candidates you believe in, and driving these lunatics even more insane. And to the right-wingers who propagate these absurd conspiracy theories, please continue to expose your lack of critical thinking and rational thought. It only further solidifies the fact that anyone with a semblance of intelligence and common sense will be voting for Biden.
