As I sit down to write this article, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement and admiration for President Joe Biden. The recent news of his fiery speech directed at Donald Trump has reignited my hope for a stronger, more assertive Democratic party. It’s about time we see someone calling out Trump for the corrupt and morally bankrupt person he truly is.
One of the standout moments from Biden’s speech was when he passionately exclaimed, “Suckers and losers the guy said.” These words hit home for me as a proud Army veteran with friends and comrades who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. To refer to soldiers as “suckers and losers” is not only disrespectful but also reveals the cowardice and lack of empathy that Trump possesses.
Biden’s willingness to confront Trump head-on is refreshing. It’s unfortunate that we live in a time where the mere act of exposing Trump’s incompetence and corruption is viewed as an extraordinary event. Let’s not forget that Trump altered a NOAA hurricane map with a sharpie, suggested nuking a hurricane, and even claimed that sunlight could disinfect lungs from COVID. These are not the actions of an intelligent and responsible leader.
I find it perplexing that some people are more concerned with Biden’s use of “vulgar language” than with the actual harm caused by Trump’s lies and deceit. Trump’s actions have resulted in the loss of countless lives, both from the mishandling of the COVID pandemic and the insurrection he incited at the Capitol. It’s high time that we stop tip-toeing around the truth and start holding Trump accountable for his actions.
In the midst of all the controversy surrounding Biden’s speech, it’s important to remember that anger and passion have their place in politics. Righteous anger is exactly what is needed to expose Trump for the rapist, liar, and fraud that he is. It’s time to stop pretending that there is a high road when it comes to Trump. He has committed numerous crimes, from profiting off the presidency to colluding with foreign adversaries. Trash him like the dog he is.

I shudder to think of the damage Trump would have caused if he were still in power.
