Iran not seeking war with the US but ‘not afraid of it,’ says military chief.
Oh please. Even America is scared of America. Yeah, getting all the proxies to attack US bases over 150 times, disruption of 20% of the world’s shipping, is just a bit of playful banter. Saddam said he wasn’t afraid. Then his army was wiped out within weeks, and before long he was swinging by a rope. Sometimes it’s okay, even smart, to be afraid.
You know what is really compelling evidence of courage is when you, unprompted, announce how unafraid you are of something that no one has said is happening yet. It sounds like they’re afraid. Iran not being afraid of war with the United States is perhaps the stupidest possible thing they could think. It’s also very likely untrue. They sound scared…
I’m not American, but they probably should be. Like if America actually took their gloves off, they could set Iran back 100 years. They can be as “not afraid” as they want. The result will be the same regardless.
I used to sympathize with Iran. I used to think America shouldn’t be fucking with them all the time, maybe we could get along if we weren’t threatening to destroy each other all the time. But early in the war, Iran sold Russia a bunch of Shaheed drones. The Russians immediately used them to attack civilian areas and murder many innocent people, including a bunch of children. The Iranians responded to that by selling Russia even more drones. Fuck Iran to Hell for that. Iranian regime is some big dumb stupidheads.
Sure buddy. Whatever you say big guy. If they are not afraid, then they are stupid. Maybe not afraid, but I’d be a bit concerned at the very least.
If they are not afraid, then they are badly underestimating a hideously, overwhelmingly superior force. Iran is the last number left on America’s Middle East bingo card. That’s odd, their actions say precisely the opposite. Strange how actions tend to speak louder than words…
As an American, I know for a fact that we are a crazy people. Fear can be a lovely emotional, survival tool. Iran shouldn’t ignore it. Says the bitch who hides behind proxies and last time they fucked with us they lost half their navy in an afternoon.
Seems it was mistranslated. It actually says “We’re fucking terrified of the position we’ve put ourselves in, but it was our only way to stay in power. Naturally we would do anything for power.” I feel for the Iranian people. It is clear their government is determined to get them all killed.
It’s clear from these comments and the overall sentiment that many people are skeptical of Iran’s claims of not seeking war with the US and being unafraid of it. They point to Iran’s past actions, such as supporting proxies and engaging in aggressive behavior, as evidence that they are, in fact, afraid. The belief is that if Iran truly understood the overwhelming force of the US military, they would think twice about provoking them.
While I can understand these concerns, it’s important to approach this issue with caution. War should always be a last resort, and assuming that Iran is seeking war without concrete evidence is unfair. Diplomatic efforts should be exhausted before resorting to military action, as the consequences of war can be dire for both sides.
That being said, Iran’s actions cannot be ignored. Selling drones to Russia, despite knowing they would be used to attack innocent civilians, is deeply troubling and goes against any notion of moral responsibility. It is actions like these that make it difficult to trust Iran’s claims of not seeking war.
In the end, it is crucial for all parties involved to prioritize peace and dialogue in order to avoid the devastating consequences of war. The lives of innocent civilians should never be put at risk due to the ambitions of political leaders. It is my hope that cooler heads will prevail and that alternative solutions can be found to address the tensions between Iran and the US. Only through open communication and understanding can we hope to achieve lasting peace in the region.
