It’s about time we see him face the consequences of his actions in a criminal proceeding. I can only imagine how his usual tactics in civil trials will fare in this more serious context.
Trump’s legal team’s argument for a trial delay is quite astounding. They claim that they have so many trials and charges to deal with that it’s becoming difficult to keep up. But let’s be real here, if their client wasn’t such a dedicated lifelong criminal, they wouldn’t have to contend with so many trials. It’s absurd for them to expect sympathy for a problem they created themselves.
If I were charged with a crime I knew I didn’t commit, I would want my trial to happen as soon as possible to clear my name. So, I can’t help but wonder why Trump keeps delaying. Could it be that he knows he is guilty and is trying to avoid facing the consequences? It certainly seems that way.
