Damn Russia with the oldest trick in their book, keeping the war prolonged until the opponent gets tired. It’s a shame that Russia still has no problem pushing more men through the meat grinder. Letting Ukraine hang dry is a modern-day tragedy. The West needs to step up and provide the necessary support, or things are going to get very bad soon.
What’s even more depressing is the fact that being conscripted means fighting a losing war. It’s demoralizing and disheartening for the men on the front lines. I can’t help but wonder why the armchair generals on Reddit don’t volunteer themselves and go fight instead of acting like military experts from the comfort of their homes. It’s time for action, not just words.
The West can’t assume that Russia is at its weakest simply because Putin couldn’t defeat Ukraine. History has shown us that when faced with setbacks, Russia becomes more centralized on the war economy, adopts nationalist propaganda, and intensifies its cleansing policies. These wartime policies won’t lead to peace; they will only make Russia more reckless and unpredictable in the future.
As the rise of eastern nationalist dictatorships continues, Western countries should prepare for the worst. We can’t afford to repeat the mistakes of the past and ignore the signs of aggression. The rapid rise of China and North Korea should serve as a wake-up call. We need to be proactive and ensure that we have the necessary resources and strategies in place to protect our own interests.
It’s disheartening to see how little support Ukraine has received from the West. The numbers speak for themselves – Ukraine has only received a small fraction of the weapons and equipment it desperately needs. Instead of asking when substantial deliveries will be made, Western journalists focus on the problems of an infantry army against the second largest army in the world. This lack of support sends a dangerous message to other despotic states that war can be prolonged if they fund the right political party.
One potential solution to the exhaustion of the Ukrainian men is to enlist women in the front lines. There are countless capable women who could contribute to the fight, and it’s time to recognize their potential. Women have proven themselves time and again in various roles throughout history, and it’s time to utilize their skills and dedication to defend their country.
The West needs to step up and provide Ukraine with the equipment it desperately needs. This is a war of attrition, and a numerically superior Russian army will continue to push Ukraine unless they have the necessary resources to fight back. More equipment, including drones, can make a significant difference on the front lines.
