Three US troops killed in drone attack in Jordan, at least two dozen injured.

Damn, Jordan isn’t supposed to be a dangerous deployment. RIP. If this turns out to be Iranian backed militas, this is going to be a big escalation, when it comes to Iran. I always knew eventually U.S. troops were eventually going to get killed, and if that happened, things were going to enter a new phase. Iran better hope they had nothing to do with it. 158 attacks against US and coalition forces since October 17…

Honestly at this point bomb a drone factory in Iran, that is not war mongering that is just self defense at this point. So realistically, what would a U.S. response to Iran from this event look like? There’s some American war planners dusting off a dictionary from the 1980s to look up the definition of “proportional.” cant wait for the retaliation and the amount of keyboard warriors who will call the US the aggressors Iran’s backed rebels keep provoking and attacking the US, then they pretend to be the victim when the US responds back. And also blame the US for escalating tension in the Middle East.

Let’s try out this B21 Raider. This is Major; I’ve got a brother-in-law stationed somewhere in Jordan right now. To say I am distressed is an understatement. RIP to those killed. Future wars are going to be so weird. There’s already people on TikTok in support of Iran’s “defense” and saying that the US is gonna regret having their military presence there.

I highly doubt this is going to be a flashpoint. Every time something happens in the Middle East since 7th October, random Redditors claim ‘this is it’. It hasn’t been so far; it won’t be after this. At most, it will trigger further airstrikes. I’d be astonished if the US and its allies did beyond what they’ve been doing since Operation Inherent Resolve started near on a decade ago. It is clearly the strategy of the Iranians to try to goad the US into a foreign policy decision that will create more division in an already fractious American political environment.

If the US public was baying for retribution, maybe, but I doubt that is the case. Also, bear in mind that we’ve pink misted like 80,000 jihadists in this operation for a couple dozen combat deaths. It’s a ratio of 4,000 to 1. Sounds like a winning strategy to me. No need to change it. Hold on to your butts. This isn’t gonna be good.

Scary how remote these camps are. Since October, Iranian proxies have attacked US positions with suicide drones and rockets 150+ times, inflicting 83 minor injuries. It’ll take many months, maybe even a year, to safely remove US arms and forces from Syria and Iraq, and the “axis of resistance” will still keep attacking throughout that. I can’t see Nujabaa surviving much longer after this, sadly. RIP.

Iran has won the toss and has elected to receive. Man, Iran is really a problem. Weapons to Russia, Hamas funding, Houthi Rebels terrorizing shipping lanes, funding the death of U.S. soldiers. Let’s pressure Israel to stop killing Hamas and wag our finger at Saudi Arabia for killing a journalist. Sarcasm for anyone that missed it.

Alright Joe, they aren’t getting the message. Time to call in the thunder. America right now: “so anyways I start blasting.” Fuck Iran. This was bound to happen eventually. How we could let anyone continue to attack our troops deliberately for months now is beyond me. I’m tired of us saying “we’re the strongest military” blah blah…show these fuckers already and turn them into a crater. Russia pushing Iran to keep pushing their proxies to escalate. This is going to get worse.

Let’s wait and avoid escalating things with Iran until they acquire nuclear capabilities. I strongly suspect these were Iranian-made drones. IMO, the US should mount a bombing and missile campaign to destroy Iran’s domestic drone-making capability. These are the devices they are using to stir up so much shit around the world. Take away their toys. This stops short of a full-on invasion or war. You would be talking about destroying a handful of factories inside Iran. It would send a message, have minimal casualties, and would make the world a safer place for those dodging Iranian drones. The Pentagon has plans for this sort of scenario. How to hit back without starting a war. Likely, cruise missiles will hit the guys who sent the drone. No real need to use planes/bombs when there are ships within missile range already there.

Well, fuck, for the sake of the Iranian people, I truly wish they didn’t do that. With the way the U.S. has been trying to avoid escalation, I’m not sure these soldiers will be properly avenged. They need to assassinate some high-level Iranian military fuck or disintegrate thousands of terrorists. Ya done messed up, I-I-Raan. Time to bring some freedom to Iranian proxies. Let’s send the free Palestine supporters to the front lines and get a taste of what we are up against.

Months ago, the U.S. should have already struck targets within Iran or their proxies with much less restraint. Limiting the damage of retaliatory strikes to coincide with that suffered by your forces solely serves to telegraph to the enemy how far they may push you. Pursuing such a course of action makes the enemy dictate the terms. Deterrence is effective when you show that you are willing to inflict damage that exceeds that which was suffered by you. This supposed “prevention of escalation” is completely counterproductive. Biden can’t be a pussy about this. Heads need to roll. Plenty of US blood was spilled on 10/7, and some of the American hostages could still be alive. It seems pretty easy to ignore civilian loss.

I feel a proportional response would be a rapid and violent deconstruction of Iran’s drone manufacturing facilities. Ah, another war on the horizon, just before elections. As is tradition. Shouldn’t we ask ourselves why US troops are in Jordan in the first place? All these fucking drones. Ukraine is exhibit A of what an outnumbered force can do with technology like that. Would not put significant boots on the ground and risk higher casualties. Bomb the living shit out of them with long-range weapons. Iran and Palestinians are assassinating Americans, fuck them.

Some top Iranian generals just started sweating very heavily. Iranian-backed “proxies” are almost certainly responsible for this attack, just as they are for hundreds of others against U.S. forces across the Middle East for months. There must be an overwhelming and sustained military response as these attacks will continue regardless. Anything less would signal to Iran and the rest of the world that there are no (or few) consequences for killing American service members. That is unacceptable. If you allow the bully to harass and abuse you, he will continue to do so as he fears no repercussions and is emboldened by your inaction. Bring the fight to them.

Just a GREAT excuse for Biden to help out Ukraine by deleting a few Shahed drone factories. I really just don’t understand how Iran is allowed to openly fund these terrorist cells, and they just get to keep on moving along as if nothing happened. Go for the head of the snake.

With drones now, it is really cheap to take out soldiers, and requires very little skill as well. The US is lucky these sort of drones did not exist in Iraq and Afghanistan because had they done so, the US would have lost a lot more soldiers.

In conclusion, the recent drone attack in Jordan that resulted in the loss of three US troops and injuries to at least two dozen individuals is a tragic event. It highlights the ongoing threat posed by Iranian-backed militias and the need for a strong and decisive response. The US cannot allow its troops to be continually targeted without consequences. It is time to take action and dismantle Iran’s drone manufacturing capabilities to ensure the safety and security of American forces. The world needs to understand that there are severe consequences for killing American service members. The time for restraint has passed, and it is time to bring the fight to those who seek to harm us.
