If I were a prominent Putin opponent or a powerful ally who posed a threat to Putin’s regime, changing my travel plans at the last minute would become a habit. The fact that these officials were denied access to the flight indicates a hidden agenda. Was it a tactic to protect them from an upcoming disaster? Or was it a deliberate act to sabotage the flight and create a narrative of war crimes?
Speculations are running wild, and various theories are emerging. Some suggest that the plane was shot down by Ukraine, either intentionally or as a valid target. Others argue that Russia orchestrated the crash as a self-own, using the excuse of transporting POWs to divert attention from the real purpose of the flight. The truth remains elusive, but one thing is clear: this incident has further tarnished the reputation of the failing Russian Empire.
