Boebert finishes fifth in straw poll of new district

Well, well, well, it seems like Boebert’s political career may be coming to an end sooner than she expected. In a recent straw poll of her new district, Boebert finished fifth among the five candidates. And let me tell you, it’s hard to take a straw poll seriously when it’s so hilariously tiny. She only received 12 votes from the debate attendees, which accounted for about 10 percent of the total.

Ahead of her were Logan County Commissioner Jerry Sonnenberg, former Colorado House Minority Leader Mike Lynch, Douglas County filmmaker Deborah Flora, and state House Minority Whip Richard Holtorf. They all received more votes than Boebert, leaving her in the dust. It’s quite a blow to her ego, I’m sure.

Now, I have to admit, I find great joy in watching Boebert’s political career crumble. From her controversial remarks to her questionable decisions, she has managed to rub people the wrong way. And it’s finally blowing up in her face.

For some context, Boebert decided to switch districts and run for reelection in the 4th District after Representative Ken Buck retired from Congress. This new district was supposed to give her a better chance at winning the Republican nomination and securing her reelection. But it seems like the results of this straw poll indicate that she may have an uphill battle ahead.

As someone who used to be her constituent, I can’t help but find her downfall absolutely delicious. This woman who once represented us with her divisive rhetoric and lack of substantive accomplishments is now struggling to gain support in her new district. It’s a satisfying moment for those of us who have grown tired of her antics.

But let me be clear, I don’t trust the polls entirely. They can be misleading, and we shouldn’t solely rely on them to determine the fate of a candidate. So, it’s crucial that we vote and make our voices heard. Let’s ensure that Boebert doesn’t have a chance to continue her ineffective tenure in Congress.

Now, some may argue that this straw poll is insignificant due to its small sample size. It’s true that only about 133 people attended the debate, and only two-thirds of them responded to the poll. However, it’s worth noting that the difference between first and fifth place was just 10 votes. So even though it’s a small poll, it does provide some insight into the current sentiment towards Boebert.

To those who continue to make crude sex jokes or talk about her looks, I urge you to reconsider. We don’t need to stoop to her level to criticize her. Let’s focus on her lack of accomplishments and questionable decisions rather than resorting to personal attacks.

As much as I take pleasure in seeing Boebert stumble, we must remember that this is just one straw poll. It’s still early in the race, and anything can happen. But let’s use this moment to rally against Boebert and ensure that she doesn’t get elected for a third term. Let’s show Colorado that we have a sense of morality and decency by voting her out.

In the end, this straw poll may be a wake-up call for Boebert. She came into this race with the expectation of an easy victory, but it seems like her miscalculations have caught up with her. And quite frankly, I couldn’t be happier. Good riddance, Boebert. Our district deserves better representation.
