By Matt Underwood On Wednesday, the Georgia congresswoman posted on Twitter that “brainwashed people” who move from California and New York need a “cooling-off period.” Her comment was in response to a Twitter user who wrote he supports discriminating against Democratic transplants, including restricting their ability to vote for a period of time. He also wrote that they should have to “pay a tax for their sins.”
Republicans are waging full scale war on our voting institutions. This isn’t some off hand joke, it’s a statement from an elected US official. She deadass believes this, and odds are good that swaths of republicans do as well.
These people don’t want you to vote.
I would love to sit down, off the record and really pick her mind. Like to openly say you support infringement of voting rights. I just wanna understand the mindset of being so “pro America” and then saying one of the most unamerican things you could. Like we get it, you don’t want liberals to move to red or purple states and vote liberal. But….that’s too bad, that’s just America
She’s pro America for her thinking And those who think America should be the way that she wants it. If America can’t be the way that she wants it well, tear it all down.
Well, I just learned that Georgia receives $1.29 for every dollar it pays in federal taxes every year. OK. Let’s let Georgia divorce from the United States. I am OK with that. They can take West Virginia and Kentucky and South Carolina and all of these other red states that are actually mooches off of the federal government. I would love to see how well they fared After the divorce.
Blows my mind that this is what is taking us down. Not bombs, not spies or sabotage from another country, not even these people’s guns. They have hardly fired a shot. Just lies and sick, sick word games. That’s all it took.
